The Presbyterian United Church of Christ invites you to join us for worship, study and fellowship.

The Presbyterian United Church of Christ was formed on October 23, 1966 when two congregations, the First Presbyterian Church and the St. John’s United Church of Christ joined together to worship. We are governed by Presbyterian polity. Wherever you are in your spiritual journey there is a place for you at Presbyterian United Church of Christ.

  • Each week we offer a full range of opportunities for worship.
  • Bible Study and fellowship are offered for all ages.
  • Children’s Chapel is offered September through May after the children’s time in the worship service.
  • Chancel Choir meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m., September through May.

Persons may enter into active church membership by profession of faith, reaffirmation of faith in Jesus Christ or transfer of certificate from another church. A faithful member accepts Christ’s call to be involved responsibly in the ministry of the church. Periodically a class is offered to acquaint people with the church. Please call the church office for more information.

There is a place for you this weekend as we worship God together at the Red Brick Church on the hill! Our focus this Sunday will be on following Christ. We may think of this as impossible, but in our readings this week, we may discover what God truly intends is for us is to keep it simple. Come and worship. Come and sense God's presence. Come and listen for the Word of the Lord. Come and simply rest and be renewed. The choir will be sharing a song, "The Lord is My Shepherd." We will be installing and ordaining our new deacons and elders. Simply come. You will be glad you did! ... See MoreSee Less

God is active in the world and in our lives in many ways. We may feel the mystery of God as we view storm clouds brewing over an azure ocean. We may experience the love of God when we are comforted by a friend. We may be filled with the compassion of God as we attend a conference on the plight of the homeless. We may be blessed by the peace of God during prayer or troubled by the challenges of God as we study the Bible. God comes to us in our conscious and unconscious experiences, for God is in all of life.

There are times when God's activity seems clear: a specifically answered prayer, the saving of a seemingly unredeemable situation, strength which is wondrously given at just the right moment. Other times, we recognize God's interaction with us only in hindsight when we take time to reflect on our lives. ~ written by Anne Broyles

Take time today, to be still and know that God is with you!
