Noah’s Ark Preschool employs two staff–the Director/Teacher and the Assistant Teacher.
My name is Shannon Jensen, and I am very excited to start my sixth year as Director/Teacher at Noah’s Ark Preschool! I love working with young children and feel blessed to be a part of their educational journeys! I genuinely enjoy the company of preschoolers and love to help them learn!
I was born and raised in Le Mars and graduated from Le Mars Community High School. I am a graduate of Morningside College, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Reading Endorsement. In 2016, I attended Northwestern College and earned an endorsement for teaching PreK-Grade 3 regular education and special education.
I have taken several professional development courses in multiple areas of Early Childhood Education and worked with children of various ages at Le Mars Day Care, Inc., where I worked for five years. I spend my summers tutoring children in preschool through second grades. In addition to tutoring this summer, I am employed at the Le Mars Public Library, where I am assisting with the Summer Reading Program and teaching the toddlers’ and preschoolers’ storytimes.
My husband, Seth, and I live in Hinton. In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, manicures, shopping, crafts, movies, and spending time with family and friends.
Jennifer Moos, Assistant Teacher
My name is Jennifer Moos, and I am excited to start my first year as Assistant Teacher at Noah’s Ark Preschool! I love Early Childhood Education and have worked with young children for over 20 years in various settings. I worked at St. Luke’s Childcare and at the Akron Children’s Center. In addition, I have provided in-home daycare and nannying services and have had foster children in my home. In my experience, I have worked primarily with toddlers, so I am thrilled to begin a new journey in preschool.
I earned a Child Development Diploma and have taken several professional development trainings in Early Childhood Education. I am currently enrolled in ministry training at Morningside College, so I am especially excited to work in a religious environment at Noah’s Ark Preschool.
I currently live in Akron and will continue working part-time at the Akron Children’s Center as a substitute teacher. In my spare time, I enjoy scrapbooking, the outdoors, and spending time with my nieces and nephews.
