Daily Schedules

Each preschool class has an age-appropriate daily schedule. The times listed are approximate and will remain flexible to meet the needs of the children in the classroom and to provide opportunities for special guests, field trips, etc. The children experience routine and consistency throughout each day and experience a mixture of play-based and academic-based learning.

3-4 Year Olds (MW AM or TTh AM)

8:25-8:35 Arrival—Table Time

8:35-8:50 Circle Time—Rules, Prayer, Daily Songs, Calendar, Caterpillar, Birthdays

8:50-9:55 Centers (2nd semester–Cutting, too)

9:55-10:15 Read Aloud/Activity

10:15-10:25 Craft

10:25-10:30 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

10:30-10:35 Music

10:35-10:50 Wash Hands & Snack

10:50-11:00 Get Ready to Go Home

11:00 Dismiss

4 & 5 Year Olds (MTWTh PM)

12:25-12:35 Arrival—Table Time

12:35-12:50 Circle Time—Rules, Prayer, Daily Songs, Calendar, Birthdays, Message Board

12:50-1:05 Handwriting (Wednesdays=Journal)

1:05-1:45 Centers

1:45-2:05 Read Aloud/Activity

2:05 -2:20 Craft

2:20-2:25 STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math)

2:25-2:35 Show & Tell and Music (Mondays=Bible Story)

2:35-2:50 Wash Hands & Snack

2:50-3:00 Get Ready to Go Home

3:00 Dismiss

Outdoor Play

We will go outside as often as weather allows. Outdoor play will occur from approximately 10:30 to 10:50 for the morning classes and from 1:30-1:50 for the afternoon class. To create time for outdoor play, center time will be shortened.
